A: This is not a meal replacement on its own as it does not contain all of the necessary nutrients a meal would require in order to be considered a meal replacement.

A: It is neither Kosher or Halal

A: They are year round free range cattle, which are A2 cows.

A: Yes the cows are grass fed.

A: No it has not been treated with anything as that would defeat the purpose of being grass fed if the cows were made to eat chemically treated grass.
- Q: Is Pro-Optimal Whey a complete protein?
A: Yes, the Pro-Optima Whey is a complete protein as it has all of the 9 essential amino acids to qualify as a complete protein along with other amino acids as well.
- Q: Does your whey protein have phenylalanine?
A: Yes it does.
- Q: Is Miracle Whey gluten free?
A: Yes it is gluten free.
- Q: Are there any wheat, nut, or soy products used in manufacturing?
A: The Pro-Optimal Whey does not contain any wheat, nuts, or soy protein. Does it contain casein? Can people who are allergic or sensitive to casein use it?

A: Yes, the Pro-Optimal Whey contains a small amount of casein (1-2%) as removing it completely would risk potentially damaging and denaturing the fragile and important immune modulating proteins.

A: Yes, the whey protein in the Pro-Optimol is in fact Undenatured.
- Q: Is it safe for pregnant women or nursing mothers to use?
A: It is not only safe, but a benefit as well, as it will increase needed protein consumption.

A: The fresh milk is heated once.
It is pasteurized at 63 degrees C for a short period of time. It is a low temperature method and unique in that is not used by commercial dairies as it is very expensive to produce a finished product using this method.
There is no heating to the liquid whey or whey protein powder.

A: The Pro-Optimal Whey is whey concentrate.
- Q: Can people who are allergic or sensitive to milk use this product?
A: Pro-Optimal Whey is low in lactose. Generally, it can be tolerated by the average lactose sensitive person. However, we’d recommend that people who are allergic or sensitive to consult with their health practitioner before using our whey product.
- Q: What are the different flavors derived?
A: All the flavors are derived from natural sources, there are no synthetic components, allergens or MSG.
- Q: What is the Pro-Optimal Whey sweetened with?
A: Stevia Leaf Extract
- Q: Why is Xylitol used in the Pro-Optimal Whey? Does this cause gas?
A: Xylitol is added to this product for the taste factor which is very important for the general public and this does not create substantial challenges for most.
- Q: Does Pro-Optimal Whey contain naturally occurring cysteine?
A: Yes, the Pro Optimal Whey contains 2.4grams of Cysteine out of 100 grams.
- Q: Does Pro-Optimal Whey go through a pasteurization process? What temperature is it processed at?

- Q: Is there Glutamic Acid in the Pro-Optimal Whey?
A: There is glutamic acid in Pro-Optimal as there is with any whey protein and it is contained in most protein that you would consume. However, there is no connection with glutamic acid and MSG.
- Q: Does the Pro-Optimal Why have rennet residue?
A: The whey protein in Pro-Optimal is a non-denatured whey protein, that is acquired directly from milking cows and is not in any way associated with rennet or the cheese industry.
- Q: Does it contain folic acid? If not, why?
A: There is no folic acid in the Pro-Optimal Whey. Dr. Mercola does not feel the folic acid was necessary in a protein supplement so it has been removed permanently. If you are looking for a supplement with folic acid we would recommend our Whole food Multi Vitamin Plus vital Minerals which contains 800mcg of folic acid.
- Q: Is this protein hard on the kidneys?
A: This is only a challenge if you are over consuming protein or if there is an improper breakdown due to low stomach acid. I would also recommend assessing your Nutritional Type to understand your protein needs.

A: They are microbrial.
- Q: How much arginine is in the Pro-Optimal Whey?
A: There is approximately 350-400 mg of Arginine per scoop.
- Q: What is the Phosphatidylcholine in the whey for?
A: It enhances absorption and bioavailability of nutrients it comes in contact with, it is a great emulsifier making the powder mix and taste better. It is also great on its own for both liver and brain health.
- Q: Does it contain sulfur?
A: Pro Optimal Whey contains the naturally occurring, sulfur-containing amino acids cysteine and methionine.
- Q: Does the Pro-Optimal contain beta glucans?
A: No, it does not contain any beta glucans.
- Q: Does the Pro-Optimal Whey contain any corn or corn syrup?
A: It does not contain corn syrup or corn. However, the scorbic acid (vit C) in the formula is derived from corn (as is 99% of vitamin C on the market).
- Q: Is there any MSG associated with the glutamate/glutamic acid in the Pro-Optimal Whey?
A: There is no MSG associated with the glutamate/glutamic acid as MSG is something that should be avoided. Glutamate is glutamic acid which is part of every protein in your body and is a normal food.
- Q: Does the soy lecithin from phosphatidylcholine in the Pro-opt Vanilla contain phytoestrogens/ or are they harmful?
A: No it does not contain phytoestrogens. Those are found primarily in the protein fraction of soy, lecithin is extracted from the fatty portion of soy only

Half of a medium banana
¼ Cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
